Alice Ophelia Dennis Waye

Alice Ophelia Dennis Waye was born April 23, 1929 in Purdy, Virginia to Robert and Marth L. Dennis. Their union was blessed with six children.
She attended school in Purdy, Virginia until the 11th grade.
Ophelia was baptized and became a member of Zion Baptist Church in Purdy, Virginia. She worked and sang on the choir. Ophelia met Peter and was married September 2, 1952. To this union they were blessed to have five children; Wendell, Larry, Alton, Alvin, Linda and Tyrone Benjamin whom they raised. Also, two stepdaughters named Barbara.
Later years she joined the First Baptist Church Victoria, Virginia.
On September 27th at her home in Victoria, Virginia, the Lord called Ophelia home. She preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, husband and three sons.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories: one son, Larry (Mildred) Waye, one daughter, Linda (Charles) Brown; five grandchildren: La'Mont, Shaun-'tel, Emmanu-el, Larry, Jr. and Renita; four great-grands: LaMoni, Skye, London and Nicholas; step-grandchildren: Timothy & Michelle; step-greatgrand: Tim, Jr., Timera, Tre'von, Tylend, Myles, Maxwell and Deborah; one sister-in-law Carrie Benjamin and host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and devoted and dedicated friends; Janie Jennings, Alfred Greene, Gloria Norris, Gerald Williams and Vivian Dicken.
