Caroline Williams

–

Meherrin, Virginia

Caroline Marie Jackson Williams was born March 5th, 1954, to the late Lloyd & Helen Neal Jackson of Keysville, VA. She departed from us on October 3, 2026, at 11:40 am in the comfort of her home. Caroline was preceeded in death by her parents, her daughter Natarsha Williams and her brother Thomas Jackson.

Caroline was a graduate of Central Senior High School in Victoria, VA, where she was a cheerleader and a majorette. She attended Mary Baldwin University and graduated with a BA in Business with a Concentration in Human Resources.

On December 22, 1971, Caroline took the first step in establishing her newfound family with Rives Sewell Williams. Through this new union, she was blessed with three beautiful children: Natasha, Demeka and Travis.

Along her journey, Caroline accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and joined Bethany Baptist Church. Once she wed, Caroline became a faithful member of Mount Mariah Baptist Church and served as an active member of the choir, church missionary group, as well as church secretary & clerk. Eastern Stars is where she also found a home, serving as the former Worthy Patron of Pride of Victoria #201.

Caroline impacted so many lives through her employment journey. She was employed at Aileen, Piedmont Geriatric Hospital, H&R Block, and The Law Office of Hawthorne & Hawthorne and a National Notary Public before she made the faithful step to become a business owner herself: Williams Signing.

Through the absolute grace, class and intelligence that Caroline embodied, she was able to gently touch the lives of so many. She made everyone feel loved, like she was a home they could always come to for comfort. The joy and love in her spirit were expressed in many of the simple pleasures that Caroline loved: sewing, taking care of her flower garden, traveling and watching her beloved *Cowboys*.

Caroline leaves to cherish her: a devoted husband of 54 years Rives Williams, her two loving children, Demeka Callahan (Kevin) of Mechanicsville and Travis Williams (Trina) of Henrico; eleven grandchildren, Chance Callahan (Bree), Taylor & Jordan Callahan, Dailen, Dillion, Devin and Zi'yon Williams, James Johnson, Rondelle and Tyrelle Ellison; two great grandchildren, Brielle and TJ Ellison; ten siblings, Kenneth Jackson of Yonkers, Marvin Jackson (Daisy) of Ellicott City, Cecil Jackson (Brenda) of Keysville, Darryl Jackson (Robin) of Spotsylvania, Malcolm Jackson of Keysville, David Chambers of Atlanta, Janice Colbert of Glen Allen, Nadine Thomas (Willie) of Kenbridge, Evelyn Reid (Billy) of Waverly, and Elma Jackson of Victoria; five sisters in law, Connie Reese (Mark) of Kenbridge, Julia Gee (Phillip) of Clarksville, Celia Williams of Meherrin, Mary Lee (Antonio) of Durham, Melissa Gayles (Cetric) of Chesterfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and devoted friends.
