Deacon Collin Lenwood Reese, Sr. Obituary (1933

Collin Lenwood Reese, Sr. was born August 21, 1933 in Kenbridge, Virginia and entered eternal rest on August 16, 2021 in Alexandria, VA. Collin attended school in Lunenburg County, VA and was baptized at an early age at St. Matthews Baptist Church in Kenbridge, VA. He was then named Junior Deacon at age thirteen and remained a Deacon and dedicated member at Kenbridge Baptist Church until his passing. Although he spent many years in the Washington DC metropolitan area, Lunenburg County was always in his heart. Upon retirement, he and his wife fulfilled their lifelong dream of returning to their hometown of Kenbridge, VA to enjoy their retirement. Collin loved working around the farm. He could always be found either on farm equipment, or in the garden. Collin was a very caring, kind, and sincere husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who cherished and took no greater joy than spending quality time with his family. He was happiest sharing memories with his wife "Betty" and tapping his foot to her piano playing, sharing stories with his grandchildren, being involved at church, and sharing a smile. When relatives came to visit the "farm", he adored their company and loved hearing of their accomplishments, travels, and activities. He will be remembered and loved always.
