Dorothy Ann Bibbs Miller

–

Kenbridge, Virginia

Dorothy Ann Bibbs Miller was born on September 25, 1945, in Baltimore, Maryland. She was the daughter of Alice Louise Bibbs but was raised by Dorothy and Aaron Jackson in Meherrin, Virginia.
At an early age, she acknowledged Christ as her personal Savior and joined Springfield Baptist Church, where she remained a loyal member for her entire life, serving as a choir member and trustee.
Dorothy was united in holy matrimony to the late Allen Adolph Miller for over 50 years. This loving union produced two children, Jacqueline and Tyrone.
After graduating from Lunenburg High School, Dorothy and Allen relocated to New Jersey. She later graduated from Felician College Nursing School with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
In order to be closer to her family and church community, Dorothy returned to Meherrin and continued her nursing career. After 30 years, she retired from Piedmont Geriatric Hospital, having advanced to Nursing Supervisor. Simultaneously, she ran a small real estate business that she was very proud of.
Dorothy was known for her generosity and social activism. Her love of travel was well known. Along with her beloved husband. "Adolph," she traveled widely, with favorite destinations including the Bahamas and the Caribbean Islands.
Dorothy departed this life on April 18, 2026, at Wayland Nursing Home in Keysville.
She leaves to cherish memories: a loving daughter, Jacqueline Miller; three sisters, Bernadette Williams-Allen, Barbara Laster, and Darlene Paul, all of Baltimore, Maryland; two sisters-in-law, Edith Miller and Delores McCoy, both of Meherrin, Virginia; two brothers-in-law, Arthur Miller (Mae) and Glenn Miller (Pam) of Phenix, Virginia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
