"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 On January 19, 2023, Hattie "Lou" Shelton Banks, 73, Kenbridge, Virginia, passed away into God's graces after battling a long-term illness. Hattie "Lou" is survived by her devoted sister Mildred (Ashton) Coleman, Sylvia Banks (daughter), Michael Banks and Ja'Quis Moore (grandsons), Sherry Shaw (niece), Ashton Jr. and Reginald Coleman (nephews) and other loving family members. She will be remembered as a king and beautiful soul will be greatly loved and missed. We are working on getting together a "celebration of life" ceremony and will post future updates soon. Her Journey Don't think of her as gone away, her journey just begun. Life holds so much facets, this earth is only one. Just think of her as resting, from the sorrow and the tears. In a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years. Think how she must be wishing that we could know today, how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. And think of her as living, in the hearts of those she touched. For nothing loved is ever lost, and she was loved so much.
