Louis Conway "John" Coles, Sr. Obituary (1944

Louis Conway Coles, Sr., was the eighth child born on January 22, 1944 in Lunenburg, County, Virginia to Robert Landers and Lizzie Jones Coles. He received his former education in the public schools of Lunenburg County, Virginia. On October 5, 1985 he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Alice Hardy to this union they raised five children. His employment was farming, Railway Handle factory, and a truck driver for Smyth Food Kenbridge, Virginia. On September 30, 2017, God called John home to begin a new life of eternal peace and serenity. He is preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Lizzie Coles, one grandchild, Angel Coles, siblings, Robert Jr., Sarah, James, George Lee, Isaac, Henrietta, Mattie, Barbara, and Russell. John leaves to mourn: three sons, Allen (Pennie) Hardy, of Victoria, Virginia, Louis "Junie" Conway Coles, Jr., of Roanoke, Virginia, Eric Coles of Victoria, Virginia, two daughters, Marjorie Coles of Kenbridge, Virginia, and Chriseta (Burnell) Coles, of Victoria, Virginia, numerous, grandchildren and great-grands. He also leaves to mourn two sisters, Ruth Maddux of Victoria, Virginia; Ann (James)Crawley of Blackstone, Virginia, brother, Daniel (Zelda)Coles of Kenbridge, Virginia, one aunt, Frances Jones Grice of New Port News, Virginia, one sister-in-law, Dorothy H. Coles, one brother-in-law, Leon Bagley, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
