Morris M. Williams

Morris M. Williams was born September 16, 1940 in Kenbridge, Virginia to Morris R. and Jane Alice Griffen Williams. He departed this life on February 8, 2014 at his home in Kenbridge, Virginia.

He was educated in the public schools of Lunenburg County, Virginia. At an early age he was baptised and became a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Kenbridge, Virginia where he served as an usher. Morris was employed at Kenbridge Supply Company for many years until his retirement.

Morris is preceded in death by his father Morris R. and mother Jane Williams; a sister Bessie Williams. He leaves to cherish his memories a daughter Pamela Steele of Sparta, Illinois, and a son Terry Williams of Baltimore, Maryland; 6 grandchildren; 3 sisters Alice Givings of Petersburg, Virginia; Hattie Peterson of Kenbridge, Virginia; and Jane (Roy) Hazelwood of Richmond, Virginia. A host of neices, nephews, cousins and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 12 P.M. in the S.P. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 208 N. Broad Street, Kenbridge, Virginia 23944. Burial in The Williams Family Cemetery, Kenbridge, Virginia.
