Samuel Howard Hazelwood

Mr. Samuel Howard Hazelwood, known as "Jack" and "Sam" was born to Eva Mae and Malachi Hazelwood on April 26, 1935. He departed this life on Monday, May 8, 2023.
Samuel was educated in the Lunenburg County School System. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Samuel was joined in Holy Matrimony to Dorothy Jean Smith on December 25, 1955.
Samuel was a faithful and devoted worker for the town of Victoria for forty- two years. He enjoyed music and loved to dance.
Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, Eva Mae and Malachi Hazelwood; his children, Clarence Howard, Kimberly, Antonios and Gwendolyn; eight brothers and six sisters.
He leaves to cherish precious memories: his wife of sixty-seven years, Dorothy Jean; his children, Cille (Johnny), Edith, Rita (Thomas), Frankie (Paulette), Eva Mae, Marie, Kathleen, Gloria, Shirley (John), Eugene, Ralph (Diane), Calvin (Veronica), Lisa (Robert), Roxanne (Ricky) and Stevie (Cheryl); three sisters, Mary, Doris, and Virginia (Jimmy); a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
