Tonia Bridgett Nesmith Wade

TONIA RICH WADE "Code Redd" was born August 5, 1972, to James and Patricia Nesmith. Tonia was also raised by her aunt Nancy Wallace. She transitioned to eternal life at her home on December 3, 2024.
Tonia received her education in the public schools of Lunenburg. She later received her diploma from Belford University.
Tonia possessed outstanding cooking skills. Tonia was employed at KFC for nine years. She was an outstanding employee who took great pleasure in feeding everyone.
Tonia is preceded in death by her parents, James and Patricia Nesmith; brother, Lamont Nesmith; grandmothers, Mary Rich and Lillie Wallace; nephew, Brandon Lee; and Godson, Antonio Rich.
She leaves to cherish - her two daughters, Quar-Deisha Nesmith and Brittany Wade; her Jason Lee; her bonus daughter, Rakita Haskins and Khaliya Hart; bonus son, Khalil Hart; grandkids, Janasia, Jonathan Jr., Malachi, Skyla, Reco Jr., and Mi'Angel; nieces, Moneisha, Christy, Jmyah, Aleaha, and Emoni; nephew, Jaden, LJ. Dominic, Jace, and Dai'siyon; Godchildren, QuaDajah, Trymesha, Tryeisha, Keisha, and Raven.
She also leaves to cherish - her sisters, Sharone (Leroyal) Lee, Jane (Leroy) Crawley, and Jaleesa (Steven) Williams; a devoted aunt, Catha Ann Blackwell; devoted friends, Albert Hart, Deborah Berry, Shelvon Williams, George Hicks, and Kevin Baskerville.
Tonia's personality brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered. She didn't fake the funk. She was a "be who you are, and say what you feel" kind of person, and that is why everyone loved her. Her passing will be mourned deeply to everyone she knew and loved her. Her legacy will live on for generations to come, inspiring those that were around her, with an unforgettable spirit. RIP to a real one - until we meet again.
